North End & Harrison Blvd

North End & Harrison Blvd

Boise’s North End is a truly unique place. Walk along one tree-lined street and you can see a variety of architectural styles – no cookie-cutter homes here! Hyde Park has several wonderful local restaurants and shops to check out. Camel’s Back park is just up the road, offering a wonderful spot to look out at the city. A network of trails winds through the Foothills, are easily accessible, and well maintained. Many homes in the North End are on the Historical Register and it is home to historic Harrison Boulevard.

Harrison Boulevard is named after President Benjamin Harrison’s 1891 trip to Boise, Harrison Boulevard is a gorgeous tree-lined boulevard filled with homes in a variety of architectural styles and periods. In 1927, many well-known residents, like the Simplots, as well as merchants, physicians, and entrepreneurs called the boulevard home – contributing to its emerging reputation as a symbol of “gentility, prosperity, and social status.” Harrison Boulevard is also famous (infamous?) as “the” place to be on Halloween.
